Liza Bello has worked in the restaurant business her whole life, starting at the families pizzeria, Tacconelli's pizza, and then at Mercer Cafe since 2000. A graduate of Ursinus College, and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program Scholar, the restaurant business has always been her passion and she is thrilled to now be managing her own restaurant along with the family. Liza and her husband Nick love to travel and are huge foodies, always out and about trying all the newest restaurants.
Tom Woltjen is a carpenter by trade, Tom Always had a dream of owning his own restaurant. He and his brother Bobby Opened mercer in 2000 as an ice cream and coffee shop and along with wife Dina eventually grew the cafe into a full service breakfast and lunch restaurant highlighting their families favorite recipes. He is thrilled to have both of his children working in the business as well. Tom and Dina enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, trips to the shore and seeing the latest shows in town after a nice dinner.
Thomas Woltjen also grew up working in the two family businesses and always dreamed of making pizza like his grandfather. He is thrilled to finally have the chance to carry on the pizza making tradition in our family like his grandfathers and uncles. Thomas is a graduate of Rowan university and Rutgers law school, but his heart was always in the family business. Thomas and his wife Molly have two beautiful children and they enjoy spending time with their families, ball games, BBQ's and trips to the shore.
